CEI researchers in the World’s Top 2% Scientist List

Stanford University has recently published the “World’s Top 2% Scientist List”, a ranking of the world’s most cited researchers in all areas of knowledge. This annual ranking, prepared by Stanford University with Scopus data provided by Elsevier, reveals the 2% of scientists with the highest number of citations worldwide.

The study analyzes researchers from around the world through the Scopus database, classifying them into 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields. The ranking analyzes different indicators taking into account scientific production in different periods, the H index, citations and co-authorship positioning.

The World’s Top Scientists generates two classifications: the first considers the entire career of the researcher, and the second the last year of results. The first list contains 195,605 researchers, and the second 200,409 researchers. This edition includes researchers from 23,125 universities, belonging to 167 countries.
