Open position: Research Assistant
Salary: around 95’000 SFR (77’000 euros approx.) per year.

The University has a full-time open position as research assistant. This contract is valid for one-year, and can be re-conducted for two more years.

Duties:
– Participation on a collaboration project aiming to build an heterogeneous computing platform composed of FPGAs, GPUs and CPUs.
– Development of computation accelerator cores on FPGAs based on PCIe interfaces.
– Setup of very high-speed links (10 Gbs) on Xilinx FPGAs.
– Participation on project proposals writing and fund rising.

Qualifications:
– PhD or Master with proven experience in the field.
– Very good skills in VHDL and C programming.
– Very good knowledge on FPGA architecture and programming.
– Good knowledge about PCIe and/or other high-speed serial links.
– Very good written English.
– A good level of spoken French is an asset.
