He was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1970. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain in 1995 and 2004, respectively. He is Professor of this university since 1997. He has been involved in Power Electronics since 1995, participating in more than 40 R&D projects with the industry. He has authored or coauthored over 75 technical papers and holds three patents. Main research interests are in power supply systems, advanced topologies for efficient energy conversion, modeling of power electronics, advanced control techniques for high dynamic response, energy management and new semiconductor technologies for power electronics. His research activity is distributed among industrial, aerospace and military projects.
