Venue

ReCoSoc 2017 will take place in Madrid, the capital city of Spain. Madrid is located in the centre of the Iberian Peninsula and has a population of almost 3.2 millon. It is the third-largest city in the European Union, after London and Berlin. This is a modern, economic, safe, and cultural city with more than 500 years, which are still visible throughout the city. Madrid has a good touristic infraestructure with many interesting places to visit and fascinating things to see, such as the Royal Palace, the Royal Theatre, the Retiro Park, the National Library, and the Goldel Triangle of Art: the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofia Museum, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. The conference will be held at ETSII Industriales, Jose Gutierrez Abascal 2, 28006 Madrid (see on Google Maps). There are different ways to reach the conference using public transport (Google Maps works well to plan your trips):

• Subway stations (official map): Nuevos Ministerios (950m - lines 6, 8, 10), Gregorio Marañon (400m - line 7), and República Argentina (1000m - line 6).
• Bus: Stop 54 Museo Ciencias Naturales (190m - lines 7, 14, 27, 40, 147, 150) and stop 795 Castellana-Vitruvio (130m - lines 12, 45).
• Train: Nuevos Ministerios (950m - lines C1, C2, C3, C4, C7, C10).

How to reach ReCoSoC from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport

Using the underground:

• A one-way ticket costs from 1.50€, depending on the destination. Note that there is a supplementary fare for the airport of 3.00€. Moreover, there is a 10 trip ticket for 12.20€. A detailed information of all rates is in this link.
• From T1-T2-T3-T4 airport terminals, you could take line 8 (pink) until "Nuevos Ministerios" Station and walk 10 minutes to ETSI Industriales.
• From T4 airport terminal, you also could take the train "Cercanias", line C-1. It is only 2.40€ to "Nuevos Ministerios" Station. Have in mind that "Cercanias" stop working earlier (last train from T4 at 22:58). "Cercanias" map is in this link.

By taxi:

• Taxis can be found in all the airport terminals. Travel costs a flat rate of 30€.
