- He received the B.Sc. degree in electronics engineering from the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas – ESPE (Sangolquí, Ecuador) – 1996 and the M.Sc. degree in Photovoltaics Energy from the Universidad Politécnica (UPM), (Madrid, Spain) – 2013
- Teacher in Electric and Electronics Department (DEEE) in Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas – ESPE (Sangolquí, Ecuador) 2002 – 2017.
- The focus of his M.Sc. thesis was in the development of Procedure of dimensioning of photovoltaic systems connected to the network in localities of the intertropical region.
- His current research interests are focused on the black box Large Signal modeling of Electronics Power Converters in AC Micro-Grids
