Professor Milan Ilic, Belgrade University, Serbia, and Professor Drazen Dujic, EPFL, Switzerland, visited our center and gave seminars regarding microwave electronic circuits and grid connected converters.

Professor Ilic presented his work in the field of microwave amplifiers and integrated circuits and low noise and power amplifiers as well. Special emphasis was made regarding the high-frequency parasitic effects that occur in these circuits and their estimation using Finite Element Analysis Tools.

Professor Dujic talked about implementation details of power electronic conversion systems for renewable energy generation (e.g. PV energy generation) and various underlying technologies related to control system design such as: modulation methods, controller implementation in different reference frames, grid filters, grid monitoring and synchronization were explained and discussed.
