MIROSLAV VASIC, UPM Research projection

The UPM awards this young professor from ETSI Industriales. It is another great recognition of his research trajectory together with the medal from the Spanish Royal Academy of Engineering that he received in 2015.
Miroslav Vasić was born in Serbia in 1981. He received the B.S. degree from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia, in 2005. Since then he has been working at Centro de Electrónica Industrial at ETSII (UPM) where he received his M.S. in 2007 and his Ph.D. degree in 2010. He has been working as assistant professor at UPM since 2015.
His research interest includes application of power converters and their optimization. In the recent years great part of his research activities has been related to the research of new semiconductor devices based on GaN and their impact on power electronics.
Miroslav Vasić hold two patents and he has published more than 60 technical papers, 14 papers are published in journals indexed in Journal Citation Reports In 2012 he received the Semikron Innovation Award for the teamwork on “RF Power Amplifier with Increased Efficiency and Bandwidth.” In 2015 he received a medal from Spanish Royal Academy of Engineering as a recognition of his research trajectory.
He has worked on 13 research projects, in 2 of them as a leading researcher. He advised 5 master and one PhD thesis.
Miroslav actively serves as a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Power Electronic, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics e IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems.
